Timberline is currently offering online rates for lift tickets during our Gathering. Here's a link to purchase online. I have no idea if total sales are limited but the "purchase by" date is 2/20.

Saves 16% for a 3-day consecutive ticket starting on Friday, 1/21.  Single day saves 13%.

Identical prices as on Liftopia. Hmmmm.

Only 10! (hah) left, but on Liftopia, Canaan Valley is $27 for Fri 2/21 and $22 for Mon 2/24. They will not sell out. Trust me.

Last Mid A Gathering, I know a fairly large group skied the Monday at Canaan (CVR.) Not sure what Rob and/or Jim have for the "Official" Itinerary this year.

My vacation schedule is a bit up in the air (may be switching jobs.) But I hope to ski either Fri or Mon at CVR.

I'll probably hit up White Grass is there's enough snow to haul out my AT set up. Maybe Denis can be enticed to host a day if he's in town. I might try CV, I never have before 'cept to hike on a fall day in the '80s.

Will everyone be skiing at Tline Sat and Sun?  Which day would CV be less crowded?  I'd like to check out both but can't stay to ski on Mon.  What about CV on Fri with no crowd?

We'll be skiing T-line Sat and Sunday, probably leaving at 2PM Sunday.  Two day ticket online isn't that much more than the group discount, plus Chance of Snow gets junior rates.  Regardless, I'll probably just wait and see what the rest of the group and Gathermiester JamesJ deem best.  If there is a bulk purchase of Sat-Sun two day tickets you can count me in for one, two if Chance of Snow's would be cheaper that way.

Sounds good to me.

Things now look very good for a four day weekend for me. I'll be at Canaan Valley on Friday, ski Timberline the rest of the days.

Yikes, I just went to purchase tickets online for Saturday through Sunday but no tickets that begin on Saturday are available. 2 day tickets beginning Friday are available (Fri to Sat.) and you can still get 2 day Sunday to Monday but no Saturday tickets. Did everybody already buy lift tickets for the Gathering?

We have our house for three nights, Fri-Sun, and I am planning to ski Monday Feb 24 at Canaan Valley ski area.  That is one of their Food Bank Mondays and donation of one can or other form of non-perishable food gets you a $15 lift ticket.

Sounds like a great plan to dispose of everything that is still un opened and un eaten when checking out of the house.

Turns out I won't be at Canaan Valley on Friday. But the three bears who indicated they were going to CV on Friday appear to be not making this Gathering.

I'm planning to ski half day/afternoon on Friday at Timberline for $36 from ticket window.  Will ski T-line on Sat and Sun, CV for $15 Monday am, then head home. Coordinating now with Laurel Hill Crazie on specific meet up times and places for each day of the weekend.  Also, we'll be tying a red ribbon on ski poles to help with identification.

Warning to all. The lift ticket windows at Timberline are sloooooooooooooooow. (Worse than the lifts.) Get your tickets very first thing on Saturday, and if you can, get a 2 day pass to avoid waiting in line more than once.

As a Season Pass holder, I don't have to wait in that line, but I've experienced frustrating delays in the past.

Also, lifts start turning at 8 AM on weekends, (but the meet up time has always been later.)

I posted T-line meet times for 7:45 and 9:00 both days. That way early birds can meet and we can pick up late arrivals at 9.

Those birds are pretty early!
