Alpes-Maritimes and Isola 2000

I need a little help from the Epic community.  I'm heading to Nice and Cannes for a few days for work at the end of January.  I'll have a day off, and was considering a day trip to Isola 2000 or one of the other area resorts.  Does anyone have experience with these resorts?  Is transport easy?  Is the skiing/are the conditions there worth a little hassle?

Thanks!

Isola 2000 or Auron are easily doable with an approx. 2 hrs drive and offer plenty of skiing for a day. Get a car and do it!

Isola 2000 can have spectacular powder days. Ask me how I know this!

But check conditions FIRST it can be soggy there even in Jan.

Do you recommend Isola 2000 or Auron?

OK.  How do you know this?

Isola is a tad higher elevated but that shouldn't matter late January. Both are equally recommendable for a day trip.

Sorry should have said, Isola is the better choice double the number of lifts and some difficult stuff.
