Which Ski?

post #1 of 2

Hi All:

I am looking to replace my 2005 Atomic Metron 9s with something a little bit newer. I am an advanced/expert skier used to skiing in Sierra cement. I prefer going fast on hard pack but I also like doing moguls once in a while and on the rare occasions that we get powder, I'd like to try that too. My Metron 9s are good for hard pack and can handle moguls OK but not powder. I have done some research and I have narrowed the field to four skis:

Blizzard Brahma

Atomic Theory

Atomic Crimson Ti

Volkl RTM 84

I cannot really select between them because they all look relatively the same. Theory is a little bit different in that it is wider than the other three. However, I have read that it still can handle front side rather well. Right now the top two candidates are Brahma and RTM 84.

So here is my question:

a) Given what I have said about my skiing which ski do you recommend?

b) Is there any other ski that I should consider?

Thanks in Advance;

Shervin

I think Nordica Steadfast, Völkl Kendo and K2 AMP Rictor 82 XTI could be on your list as well.
