Holy SH1T...... I got my arse kicked.. Wow, I really had no idea. I've done some waterskiing down in Arizona, but this is a whole new world. I went up the lift one freakin' time. It took me 3 hours to get down the mountain. It probably wouldn't have been so bad, but I got off the smoothed out stuff and onto some hill that turned out to be a lot harder (not sure how, I was skiing along and started going too fast... instead of falling like my girlfriend told me to, I went over the edge and tumbled about 30 feet. I should have climbed back up to the good part, but I didn't and found myself in a freaking bumpfield from hell. I have no other way to describe it. ) It was ridiculous. I can't believe it's 2:00 already. My girlfriend and her family left me do do more skiing. I'm alone now and have already signed up for lessons tomorrow.
Note to beginners and people who have never done this... Run like hell. It's not worth it.
I'm done skiing for the day. Bindings are finally mounted. My boots hurt like hell. I'm told I'll get used to them. I'm done complaining.
I'll try and post video when I get off my phone and onto a computer. The video sucks though. He was laughing so hard, his helmet cam was going everywhere.
And as far as the picture of the girlfriend, she won't let me post it. She's hot though. She better be worth this.
Also, I like my new nickname "The Troll"
This all rings pretty true for a first day of skiing. If not for the OP with the 2k expenditure and the DIY binding mount, nobody would be doubting this at all. On my second or third day of skiing I did the fly over the edge thing and had to be tobogganed down by patrol...sounds like you got off a little easier.
