Best value mogul lessons in Colorado?

Thread Starter

I need some mogul lessons.

I'd prefer at a resort on the Epic pass, but I can be somewhat flexible.

I'm looking for the most improvement for my skiing dollar.

Any suggestions?

Your bumpage may vary.

In general, a group lesson is going to be the least expensive professional lesson option. It is often possible to be the only one in the group through fortuitous timing (e.g. mid week - non-holiday - bad weather). However, some people actually learn better in groups where they can get a breather while they watch others with similar issues get coached. But in a group lesson, you don't get to choose who your coach is. You may get lucky. Pretty much every Colorado resort is going to have a Level 3 cert teaching mogul lessons. Depending on your learning preferences and your current skill level, you possibly could find that somewhere there is a specific instructor in a private lesson who can give you a quantum leap improvement in your skiing much more effectively than the equivalent money spent in group lessons.

Here are some specific options:

A Basin has 2.5 hour group lesson for $79

A Basin also has 2 hour private for $185

Winter Park has 2 mogul camp options: (held on specific days)

1 day/6 hours for $109

3 day for $519

The Mary Jane area of Winter Park has the best bump reputation in Colorado, but it's hard to say where the best bumps for you to learn on are.
