3 Days in Summit County in late Feb 2014

Hey I'm setting up a ski trip with a friend in late February and am planning on staying in the Dillon/Frisco area since it looks relatively inexpensive and a pretty central location. I've skied Copper a few times before but want to branch out to Breckenridge/Keystone/A-basin or something in the area. I ski, and my friend snowboards, and we're ok skill level, intermediate to advanced, both have had seasons in other areas. At first I wasn't really considering A-basin buuuut the 3 pack for $139 is pretty tempting. And it sounds like it's less congested then Breck (skiing Thurs/Fri/Sat)... How are the conditions up there at the end of February? I'd like to spend 30% of time on groomers and 70% in the fun stuff if possible. I spent most of last year at Alpental/Crystal in the PNW for reference.

Thanks!

Ryan

Conditions will be good. Tends toward ax snowpack and still old to preserve snow. You may have wind. Breck should be pretty deserted during the week.
