I bought a free style boot, and i am a beginner did i make a mistake?

Hi Guys.

I am new to this forum, and i am also new to skiing, i have been doing green for about 5 times now. And i love it, but i decided to buy my equipments slowly. and i started by buying the boot first.

This is my first boot and it is called "FULL TILT BOOTER" pictured.

The boots fits me very well, i tried many at the shop and this was perfect for me, especially because i have wide foot and i am size 12. And i have always had trouble with the rental boots, so this was like Cinderella found her missing shoes for me :).

However now i am reading, i noticed this is a free style boot. So did i make a mistake here, will it give me trouble or cause injury for me if i want to use it to ski downhill doing green runs mostly and i do not think i will go to diamond or double diamond, i like to ski safe and just enjoy my time on the hill maybe will do powder skiing one day.

Can someone please advice if i should keep this boot, or return it. and which other boot you guys suggest for me.

according to the manufacturer on a scale of 5-10, this boot is a Flex 5. Which i assume is for beginner person like me.

Thank you.

if it fits your foot it is a fine choice. A better choice than any 'beginner boot' anyway. It's all about how it fits you however, don't worry about marketing terms like 'freestyle' or 'freeride', that's all they are, marketing terms.

Thanks Whiteroom for your answer, i guess you are right they are just boots, and these are all marketing terms.
