Salomon 747 equipe for Volkl P40f1's??

So I got some new-old Volkl P40F1's from another member of the forum here. I can't wait to put them into the snow and try them out. I have some new - and much older Salomon 747 equipe bindings. I bought those in the old days. Back then they were the top of the line and today are still considered as fine bindings. I know officially shops will not service or mount them but that is not a problem I am concerned about. I haven't really been into carvings and still ski Volkl P9 RS Super's. I was thinking of using the bindings for the P40's I just bought but just wanted to double check if the construction of the ski would be compatible with the ski. I haven't followed ski development of carvings and before I start drilling holes I want to make sure I am not ruining my newest accession. Cheers.

Those P40's are from 2001 give or take a year. No special requirements as it is just a "flat" mount (unlike the P50, green meanie that came out next)

The 747E would work but why not find a S957E or newer variant to use on such a "new" ski?

Here's a few of my older Volkls

Thanks for that. I just have them lying around and finally wanted to put them to good use. I kept them as a spare in case one of my other bindings would blow out but until now they never did. I have the S957 composite version which has over 1000 days in the snow now and at times in very demanding conditions. I am really surprised they lasted this long especially since they are composites. On the mono I have the S747 Magnesium version. I love those.

If I were to buy new bindings for the P40's what would you recommend?

This is my stash. Until last year still all in use although I may park the P9RS super in 203 this year. One ski delaminated at the top. I have glued them and it lasted a couple of year but eventually delaminated again. I might give it one more try. Maybe some Epoxy West with carbon fiber. I don't really have anything to loose, do I?

Of the current offerings, personally I'd tell you Look Pivot 14.
