180 lbs, groomer high speed expert, intermediate racer wondering if my favorite ski will do well in Nastar or I need a deciated GS racing or GS cheeter ski

Try it. See what happens. Seriously. Get the race ski when / if you really understand, first hand, why you need it. You can still have fun with racing in the meantime.

Ok I tried it and even though I love the ski in no way could in be a decent Nastar ski

Okay. Perfect. You've now answered your own question authoritatively. Now it's time to demo. Or maybe a race buddy will let you try his / her boards?

Cant demo. My right binding has to be abducted to line up with previously broken leg. I have to figure it all out somehow

If I recall, haven't you been posting about buying a pair of Volkl racing skis, GSR's? If yes, confused why you're now thinking about using Kendos. I mean, I watched an acquaintance who's a very good skier do a SL course cleanly on Kendos Saturday before this one. But he also was wearing a heavy parka and normal ski gear, and wasn't trying to accomplish anything except familiarize himself with skiing a SL course (had been away from racing for a year), wouldn't try it if he were being serious.

As far as adducting your binding, I'd guess any competent shop can do that. Or as you said in the other thread, you can just move the binding. In any case, you're on the right track with thinking about Volkl race skis.

If no, sorry for the mistaken identity. :D

No you have the right guy. I own the kendos and ran 2 slalom a and two Nastar for the first time in 15 years. Form was good and I was very comfortable. Times in slalom increased two seconds and five in Nastar between runs but I was super slow finishing about 40th out of 50 racers on the kendos I would like to have a more race oriented ski
