I've been thinking, could the different style originate from the different physical build? A Korean doesn't look like an American, and doesn't look like a Norwegian, so while you may think the Korean/Japanese style look strange, it in fact may work better for them than PSIA/CSIA style.
has nothing to do with physical build any one in the world can ski like any one in the world. Has nothing to do what works better. I can easily demo these turns and I am much larged than the average koreans. if freeski919 had his eyes of his class yesterday he saw me doing them.
it has everything to do with what ski instructional dogma the people are listening to. The koreans would have a ton of trouble skiing 25 meter 100 mm ski in trees. Just as the americas probably are not going to be as fast running SL.
would the board like to see me do these with a lot of lateral displacement? no lateral displacement? RR tracked like the korean or blended like paul lorenzo?
