customizing briko ski helmet

Thread Starter
Hey all I'm a racer and bought a new helmet last year but am looking to personalize it... Doers anyone know if the surface is repaintable? I have access to a car repair shop that will paint for free if I prep it, just didn't know if anyone has tried this??? Any tips or things I might have not considered? I've prepped all kinds of surfaces and it doesn't seem like it would be hard at all... Thanks for any help!!!!!

There are several older thread about painting helmets, skis and even boots.  Here is one: http://www.epicski.com/t/86615/spray-painting-a-helmet

One would think a coat of paint wouldn't hurt the structural integrity of a helmet since race car drivers do it all the time, but doing so may void a warranty.  Some paints/solvents could mess with the coating and integrity or a helmet.
