Where to stay for Snowbasin Wolf Creek and Powder Mountain Utah

I am looking for a cheap place for a single to stay and ski  Snowbasin Wolf Creek and Powder Mountain in March. I am quite happy in Motel 6 and there is one in Ogden on Washington Blvd.

Is that about as good as it gets or is there something more convenient/closer at or near the same price of $40 dollars per night.

A B&B is fine but I am not looking for a bunkhouse.

Have you ever looked at airbnb ?  It's like VRBO but includes people who are renting out a room in their house where they live.  I see a few listings for Eden.

Most welcome.  Works slightly better if you have a Facebook acct.  I've giving it a try for a few nights when meeting up with Ski Divas at Stowe in March.  Found a private room in a farmhouse that includes breakfast for a very good price.

TQA - I live in the Ogden area, and I'm glad to hear you'll be coming to visit our area.  A good deal on AirBnB is this single room in the Eden Valley right between Powder Mtn and Snowbasin ski areas.  You'll stay out of the inversion on the West side of the mountains and wake up to the beauty of valley.  https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/1456602?checkin=01%2F15%2F2014&checkout=01%2F16%2F2014&s=c150

I'm not affiliated with the owners of the room, but I hope this helps.  You can also check out my website for all sorts of info about the area, the ski resorts, etc.  Have fun!  T. - wasatchreport.com

WasatchReport, are you familiar with Mountain Green? We are looking to relocate to the Ogden area this spring/summer (husband is retiring from the Air Force.) I'll be out in January with the SkiDiva meetup group to ski Snow basin. Will you be joining us at all?

contesstant, yes, I'm very familiar with the mtn green, eden, and ogden areas.  all are terrific, especially eden valley and mtn green, since you stay out of the main population area, but you're a short drive away.  I ski both Snowbasin and Powder Mtn a lot, and if you're doing the Ski Diva program through the Snowbasin ski school then you're in good hands.  They're a great group of instructors and the Diva program is quite popular.  let me know what you think of the area during your visit -- I don't think you'll find a place so close to so many skiing options, as well as all the benefits of being close to a population center.  T.

Well, the outdoor life is why we are hoping to move there! Seems the commute down to Hill AFB or Layton (where a lot of the contractors are) is very easy from Mountain Green. As for the SkiDiva, it's actually a website much like epicski--we are having our own gathering BUT we ARE getting instruction from some of the best instructors at Basin as part of a group clinic we have set up. Very excited! 4ster is giving us a tour, too. I'll be spending at least one full day "house hunting" and neighborhood scouting.

Wish I had known about that BnB you linked to above. Ended up getting a condo at Wolf Lodge which should be just fine, though.
