Base lodge strategy - Jackson hole

Hello epic ski community,

Just got to jackson and am wondering how people in the past have managed parking, lockers, transportation etc.

For additional context, I'm staying near the aspens, so start bus is a viable option.

I would appreciate all tips and in particular would love to find a way to wear regular shoes to the mt and change into my boots there without having to pay for a locker. Are there places where you have left shoes and small backpacks for the day?

Thanks so much!

Put shoes in backpack and go ski.

There is a locker room in the large building at the base of the Gondola. I know you don't want to rent, but, renting a locker there for several days is a great solution. Hauling skis and boots on the Start bus is not fun. Leave your skis and boots in your locked, large bin overnight, the area is attended and secure. You may just bump into Bob Peters or Skiing-in-Jackson.

As an alternative, you can just walk in there and change, then leave your bag on top of the lockers. Not a lot of other spaces to leave gear.

Thanks Living Proof - living here for next 3 months and need to keep costs down if possible. Am asking specifically bc I hate walking around in my boots and would definitely not enjoy start bus with boots on. All I really need is a good places to stash a backpack for the day. Sounds like on top of the rental lockers is potentially good solution.
