I have struggled for years with boots.  As problems with my ankle progressed, I found it harder and harder to find a boot that provided the performance and comfort that I needed.  Thus, I generally settled for comfort, giving up performance.  When I approached my local boot fitter with my worn out "slippers", he had an idea... put me in a boot with the correct performance, throw out the stock liner, and choose the comfiest, plushest aftermarket liner available.  Let me tell you, the solution is working awesome!  No pain, no circulation issues, and my performance/confidence has increased substantially.  So after many years in "freeride" boots, I am so impressed at what today's "race/performance" boots have to offer!
