X Max 100: Heel/Toe Plate

Long time lurker with a question please . . .

Anyone have issues with unusual wear on X-Max heel and toe plates?

Love the boot, but after one season the plates seem unusually worn. I'm not trudging through a mile of exposed parking lot, but it seems to me that the plates are wearing too fast.

I have noticed that this years model has a black plate (vs the red plate on my last year's issue). Don't know if the material was changed or purely cosmetic.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

the change is cosmetic (from what salomon have told us) the plate being thin is to allow more transmission to the ski but it does have the disadvantage of wearing pretty quick, i don't think they wear any quicker than any other sole, just not a lot of it there in the first place

which reminds me i must order some spares for stock
