Replacement Tyrolia RFD 14 Bindings?

Have a pair of 2008 Head Monster iM 82 skis with Tyrolia RFD 14 Railflex II bindings. Great skis that I've enjoyed over the years. On Christmas Day, the entire heel of one of the bindings broke off on the way to Wayback Lift at Keystone. No injury and I was able to 'put' it back together MacGyver style to get me back to the lifts and ultimately download the parking lot. Very frustrating early end to what should have been a great day.

Obviously Head/Tyrolia have moved on from Railflex II to PowerRail and there is no backward compatibility of which I am aware. I have searched for a replacement set of RFD 14's to little avail. The only place I found that has any left and these are the 2010 models (probably the last of the series):

At $200 for what is now obsolete tech, I am not so inclined to buy them. I really hate to to throw out these skis....are there any options?

What exactly broken on these bindings?  Any pics?

It's the same hole pattern for the rails for the newer generation of 'rail' bindings. Change the rail and you can go with a newer binding.

That's the broken heel. You can see the damage to the 'collar' and sliding arc piece.

So a newer model of the PowerRail will work even on the older Head skis? Wasn't aware the drill pattern was the same.

Thanks! That's why this forum is great. People know their stuff and pass it on to others!

That's a very surprising fracture of the plastic collar and really makes you wonder about the design of the RFD 14 binding (which I have 2 pairs of presently).

Note that the Powerrails are a bit pricey and harder to find.  You might consider watching eBay or craigslist for a cheap pair of skis that have a set of RFD bindings that you could use to bring your skis back to life.
