Most skiers were on Powder skis my preference were skis a little narrower. As you can see by the picture the skiing surface was irregular and firm. But not East Coast firm.:D

Couple of more pictures where the 2 of us had off piste skiing to ourselves.:confused

How quick did the surface soften up with the warm temps?

Off piste never did but groomers had enough traffic by Noon to ski like Snow cone patches w/ polished sections between. Have sharp edges. Got this for Xmas.

They need snow! Lots of rocks on piste. both in my party hit rocks when we skied on the 24th. Never considered going off piste as it never warmed enough to soften things up. Prospects seem slim for any decent snow by New Years...

No moisture in the forecast and warming temps. 7,000 skiers expected and 1,700 showed for 12/27/13.

Slider, same up here.   Intermediate groomers ok, steep groomer bad and off piste worse.  Thinking Whitefish or Whitewater after new years - maybe.
