BD Cheat Sheets: cut in half or not?

Those here who use Cheat Sheets to store/carry their skins: do you cut them in half and fold the skins, or do you stick one skin on each side of a full length sheet?

I cut them in half.  One half length cheat sheet for each skin.  I then put half of the skin on one side of the sheet, and half on the other side.  Then I've got 2 individual folded skins that I can stuff into jacket pockets or whatnot.

But I guess you could do a single full length with a skin on each side if you really wanted to.

Cut in half. Too difficult trying to put a pair of skins together with an uncut cheat sheet when out skiing and especially when windy.

I never understood the rationale for BD Cheat Sheets. All skins I've ever purchased came with plastic backing that's pretty much the same as a BD Cheat Sheet and works just fine.

I'm using Dynafit and Pomoca skins mostly now and they came with perfectly good skin protectors that are cut to fit the skins precisely; nice. I use the top ½ + 1 inch--that extra inch allows me to hold the skin at the fold w/o touching the glue with my hands or gloves.  These protectors protect the glue and make it easy to unfold skins; I didn't use them in the old days and the glue quickly became a mess.

I use Pomoca skins and I do not like the flimsy plastic backing.    It gets all gooey and is a pain to handle in the cold, especially with gloved hands.  The cheat Sheets are more substantial and do not get as gooey as the backing.  That is why I bought the Cheat Sheets.

Ah, OK. The skin brands I have are BD, Dynafit, and two or three other brands that I forget, and all of them have come with backing that is essentially the same stuff as Cheat Sheets.

I haven't had any problems with my Dynafit (2 full seasons) or Pomocas (1 full spring & summer) yet, but I did have a pair of G3s whose protective sheets started flaking off onto the glue (and not easily removable.  I suspect the skin mfrs buy their backing from other suppliers and those suppliers might vary or have variably effective products.  I did send G3 an email about the sheets.
