Light XC Touring Skis: Rossi BC65 or Madshus Glittertind MGV.

Both of these skis seem to be rated pretty well for kick and glide touring with many more reviews available for the Rossi since it seems to be a darling of the XC shop rental market.  I'm interested to know how the Madshus Glittertind MGV compares.  Anyone done a day on both?

I haven't skied the Glittertind, but it was a favorite of a friend of mine, Steve Barnett (authored XC Downhill, a seminal work).  I've used Madshus Voss and Madshus Epoch, which I preferred over Fischer waxless XC, but I haven't used the Rossi, so I can't compare.

Haven't used either, but I'm in the market for a slightly wider BC ski.  Someone recommended this website, which has terrific information.  The videos explaining skis within categories are very helpful.  This is their Q/A page for the BC65.  They don't carry the Glittertind (but carry the wider Madshus skis).

Thanks for the replies.  Didn't find anyone that has actually compared the two but I did find a few write ups from people using the Glittertind for touring and they all seemed to be very pleased with the ski.  I just ordered a couple of pair to be fitted with the Salomon XA Manual bindings.  Moving over from the Fischer E99 which will mean a little more side cut and an extra 3mm picked up at the shovel and 2mm at the tail.  Also from 200cm to 195.  Should work out to be a nice light setup for exploring the national parks in the west during winter months.
