Hey guys,

I am looking for a new pair of ski boots. I am a quite experienced,

Having a large feet (4 inches), I am looking for a wide boot. I saw both the Panterra from Dalbello and the Cochise from Tecnica. Any recommandation on which one could be the best ?

I have never heard of Dalbello before, is that a good brand ?

Thanks for the tips!

I am guessing nobody has touched this post because you say you are "quite experienced" but have never heard of Dalbello boots?  You have 4" wide feet, but are you a size 6 or a 14, because it is relative to the width of your foot?

Hello bud,

Sorry, I was not clear enough. By "quite experienced", I meant that I have a good skiing level, I think at least wink.gif. I also thought that I have a good knowledge of skiing brand but I haven't bought shoes in a while and indeed I have never heard of Dalbello.. Is it a good brand?

About my feet length, I need a boot size of 26/26.5.

I hope this is more clear.

Thank you for the help,

Stephane

Stephane,

dalbello are one of the last family owned ski boot companies, they are an italian brand and IMO make some great boots, here in the UK until a few years ago all we ever saw was the low end of their range, now we have access to some great boots from them... the pan terra is a good solid boot, we have the 100 in our store as a mid range offer, next year possibly that will be replaced by the 120

at 26/26.5 your 4" (100MM) feet are slap bang on medium

it depends on the shape of your foot as to what will work best, have a chat with your boot fitter, and try a few things on so that you can get the feel of the toe box shapes.... remember it only starts with the initial fit, a good fitter can bend and stretch and grind a boot to make something which you think is initially way too small fit you like a glove

just as a suggestion: read through the above article and pay close attention to how to "shell fit" a boot to find out which one will really fit.

good luck
