Skiied the canyons today...where to next? -utah skiing

so the family and I decided to give the canyons a shot today despite the warnings given by all my fellow bloggers.....it was a rough day with a pretty good amount of ice and rocks.....We have a snowboarder in the group...so we don't wanna go to alta quite yet.... Should we head up to the big cottonwoods or stay in the park city mountains and go to deer valley tomorrow?  or all the places really that bad that we should just give up on the snowboarder and head to alta??

So you didn't listen to our advice the first time and now you want more?eek.gif

You can't take the boarder to Deer Valley.

Look at the snow reports for Park City and Snowbird and others.  Get iSnow UT app. It says SnowBasin got 4". That's a nice place.

I haven't skied over in PC this year so far, but I can vouch for the LCC skiing pretty darn good.  Today was stellar at Snowbird, it snowed fairly hard all day and piled up everywhere.  The visibility was a bit tough, but braille skiing was the order of the day.  Mineral didn't open today as scheduled due to the deluge, but has been promised for tomorrow.  It wasn't crowded at all, ski on lifts for the most part all day, the tram was a one boat wait at most.  A buddy of mine rocked the Santa suit today, that was quite fun, the cheers were plentiful.

I don't think you could go wrong with either Snowbird, Solitude, or Brighton tomorrow.

I won't stand for this, no sir.  This language is reserved for me, the bashee of the year!

Go to Brighton, you won't be sorry.

Or not.

PCMR and Deer Valley are both skiing much better than Canyons right now. Of course you can't take the boarder to DV.

We skied snowbird. It was so much better snow-wise, well worth the drive. There was some really nice deep spots there.
