Nice summary of the major investments in ski areas this year.

For those of us without a NYT subscription, you can magically get to the article by clicking on a link in google:

I didn't realize Snowbird put in a HS quad on Gad 2 this year following the Little Cloud last year.  Wow, on a free refills day that's going to be really nice.

Nice article. If this is an annual article, there is going to be a lot of new stuff coming out of the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont for a while. Jay continues to expand, and now that Burke is under the same ownership, there are huge plans for there, as well.

They missed the new chair on Mt, Grey at Red Mountain, Rossland B.C. But I guess the writer like many Americans, only thinks of Whistler when it comes to resort skiing in Canada....Pity!

Hm. They don't often think of Pat's Peak when they talk about the East -- but of course it's the States.

Isn't that for the best though?

I'm a bit disgusted at an "all girls" terrain park. That's super sexist. Why are girls the only ones who are allowed an area free of snot-faced jerks?

I am also bothered by the "all girls terrain park."  As a female athlete, I don't feel the need to have my "own" area.  Truthfully, I can't think of anything more likely to attract teenage boys than an "all girl" anything.  It will be interesting to see how that works out.

I think a no cussing terrain park would be nice.

No cussing terrain park=no terrain park, me thinks.

Or = girls' terrain park, otherwise what would attract the girls? After all, the boys would be at the other one. Got to be some draw.
