Atomic Redster 2014 - any experiance with the new heatable shell?

According to our local shop the new Atomic Redsters can be fitted by heating them up just like last years Salomons. Or the Fischer, although without the pressure applied from outside. Have you boot guys any experience with this already? If not, do you have from previous years from the Salomons? Salomon and Atomic both have the same owner so I guess there has been some x-consulting. Tanks in advance.

Thanks.... when you heat mold the boot, will there be significant stretches to the shell? Lets say at the ankle bones or big toe? Also, would the old 2013 Redster heat mold as nicely?

from what I have been seeing, ANY shell is heat moldable, just some of the salomon/atomcsi do thsi at a lower temp so make it easier.  Nothing that a good shop can't do already.

The vacumm stuff on fisher is to make a boot a bit smaller,  the saltomc is heated and will make it bigger.   I bet, if you can use the vacum on non-fisher boots, it will work just as well.

So again,a good bootfitter, is better then cool shiny tools
