Does anyone else have a problem with 3 clip boots?

Excuse me gentlemen,

I was wondering if anyone had suffered with the recent Nordica Fire Arrow boot?

It has three straps and the middle one is designed to jack your heel right back where it should be.

When I put them on they feel like a great fit ... but by lunchtime my toes are screaming at me.

When I take them off at the end of the day and experience the usual double barreled orgasm of boot removal my toes stay numb,

almost like "pins and needles".

Now I would not bother too much but the middle three toes on both feet continue with the numbness for about three months.

I've had them 18 months and I thought it was just me, and it may be just me.

Someone has suggested that there is a lot of blood supply and nerves going on in the top front of the ankle, and this strap is strangling the blood supply.

I would be pleased to know if anyone else has had this problem?

Cheers

can you just keep that middle buckle looser?  You should NOT have to have any buckles very tight to hold your foot in place?

got to say from the guys who sold it this side of the pond it wasn't a winner for sure, but it works for some not others (just like every boot)

it does sound that it may be too big if you are having to tighten it down that much

Its not as though I "over tightened" them at all .. and I ponced around choosing them and fettling them for several hours, but its not till you start thinking about lunch that the toes kick of and start shouting at me.

Anyway eBay here they come, I did the sensible thing in Tignes and hobbled over the street and just let the boot mafia there take all my money.

I've got no complaints now .. they stitched me up with a pair of Salomon Xpo 120 ... they were on offer ...

Buy one ... get one free.

The big plus is .... my feet have never been so happy ... as I'm sliddering along now I can think about those toes and get them to join in the fun.

Before I had to just eradicate them from my mind.

The boot fitter did insist though that I was not allowed to tighten the foot end pair of buckles, so I havent yet.

He thought it was a bit daft having 3 clip boots.

Thanks guys for the help and advice .. Ciao!
