how often should i replace boots? liners?

I am 5'8", 226 lbs and an advanced intermediate skier,.   Typically ski 10-10 times a year.

First time putting the boots on is always painful, and seems to take a couple days to reform around my foot. Boots are technicas, fitted by an expert and about 5 years old.

Just wondering if there is a rule of thumb?

boot liners should last 100-200 days.  shells 500+ if they are not walked in much.

Should like you are just having to get use to skiing again each year.?

Yes- we have a short ski season - so part of it is getting used to them again.    Also no good ski stores around Louisville Ky.

Boots do not feel the same around the ankle bones and I find my heel moving more than I think it should.  I am a patroller and I am in them for 8 hours at a time, then need to feel better.  Besides- I need to eliminate an excuse for my skiing.  :(

thanks for the response.
