Considering Volkl Code UVO and Rossignol Pursuit 16

(Forgive me if this is the wrong place to ask such questions but I'm new here.)

My current skis are old Fischer ICE 102s from 2001 and it's time to get new gear. I mostly ski New England (i.e., rarely powder), no trees but can get down anything groomed and (with some work) ungroomed trails.

At a demo day yesterday (at Mt. Sunapee), I skied and liked Volkl Code UVOs and Rossignol Pursuit 16s. This was on hard-pack and icy surfaces and both skis turned like crazy, as they are supposed to be all-mountain carvers. Today, I went back (after last night's 13" dump) and retried the two pairs again. I still like them both but can see that they really aren't fantastic in powder. (We don't get much of that hear in New England anyway.)

Anything else I should consider or just choose between the two? Anyone out there have experience with one or both of these?

Thanks in advance.

I have the p16 and like you love them as a versatile frontside ski ; 13'' of powder , I would probably grab my soft snow ski and give the p16's the night off.

That's a good approach but not for me. I don't go skiing enough and there aren't many powder days here so only one pair of skis will have to do the job. In addition, I'd like the single pair to be able to handle a possible (annual?) trip out west. (Last year was my first time there (for two days) and my old Fischers were okay. I'd like to improve enough to merit more skiing but at 59, don't expect I'll get much above my high-intermediate/low-advanced level.

Thanks for your suggestion anyway.
