Fischer "Guaranteed Fit"

Thread Starter

I see the "Guaranteed Fit" tag line on the Fischer ads this year. I do not recall that in last years ads. I've got pair of last years boots that I was just about ready to give up on at the end of last season. Does anyone know if the the new GUARANTEE is retroactive?

Hopefully it's better than the Masterfit "guarantee," which apparently doesn't necessarily apply if they can string you along for long enough. Make sure you get something in writing, and for retroactive claims, bring them all the advertising material. You might want to contact the company to get details on their policy before hitting up a store.

Keep us posted, please. My poor toe has had enough of my Vacuums.

I don't know if it was under the Fischer guarantee, but my dealer got me a new pair of Lange RX 120s free after a year of unhappiness in last year's Vacuums (plus this year's Vacuums in a larger size that didn't work either). Very happy with the Langes.

Any boot fitter worth their weight should have a fit guarantee. The Fisher Vac is a tool not the solution. Does it aid in the fit? It can. Will it fit every foot out there. No. You still need a knowledgeable fitter to determine if the shell can work for your foot. I saw a huge influx of people buying the Vac because of the "It will fit any foot" mentality. This is not the case at all. Is it a good boot if your foot fits that shell, sure. It is by no means a fix all for skiers. If you are having trouble with a boot from last year. Talk to the fitter, not Fischer. The fitter should stand by the boot they put you in.
