I really appreciate all the great advice I received in my post a few weeks ago (http://www.epicski.com/t/122130/first-trip-out-west-where-should-we-go-from-mid-atlantic-intermediate-couple).
I hate to start a new thread for this but our trip situation has changed somewhat and now we will be traveling with our 3 young children (ages 5, 3 and 3) instead of just the wife and I. I can also get free flights for all of us into Denver so Utah, etc. are out.
I'm curious what are the best resorts to consider that would be good for the kids and relatively close to DEN. This would be our first trip out west, the kids are beginners, the wife is a beginner/lower intermediate and I'm an intermediate and we'll all be taking some lessons. Probably stay 6 nights and ski 3-4 days. We would likely take a shuttle from the airport rather than rent a car so accessibility and ability to walk/shuttle to most everything we need would be very important in addition to good beginner and intermediate terrain. I worry about the crowds staying too close to Denver but we would probably take Saturday as a non-ski day to avoid some of the crowds.
My initial research suggests either Breckenridge or Keystone. Would those work well for us? One better than the other? Others we should consider?
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!
