Maybe the word "resort" on the ski area's name that makes powder short lived. I really only have one "resort" experience to draw on. I get my fix by going to where the powder is and the skiers aren't a for a week or two every year. Places with names the guy in the next cubicle wouldn't recognize. My partner is a skier that has staying ahead of the crowd dialed in.

This looks familiar. Don't show too many however if people ever really realize how unpopulated the PNW is they might move here - ugh.
