draft feature causing problems - Page 2

Image, Drafts is still off. Whenever we turn drafts back on I will make sure it's addressed if the word insert continues to be problematic.

Still getting the "do you want to leave this page or stay on this page?" error message when I click submit on a post. Sporadically.

Just blew up on me again. Seriously, this is sort of a basic competency test for a "software" or "web" company.

What happened? What browser, what OS?

Mavericks. OS X 10.9 (13A603)

Safari Version 7.0 (9537.71)

Blew up and gave me some failure message flash, the exact wording of which I do not recall - something to the effect of "a faulure has occurred and the web page has been reloaded" - and then a report to Apple option. IIRC sometimes it blows up with no followup dialog. But I did not pay that much attention

Have you upgraded to the new version of Safari/Maverick that Apple released yesterday? That should fix the issues with Java and crashing.

Not yet...

Just took all updates...we'll see...

That should fix it, it's an issue on Apple's end not EpicSkis. This is what I was told by someone who is a beta tester for Apple and who was directly communicating with individuals high up in Apple's development chain about issues including this one (his NDA prohibited him from going into any more specific details).

I'm a web developer, a software developer, and I've got plenty of friends at Apple.

I can't say much but I will say that I know people and I was sick of Safari crashing myself using 7.0 betas (I think it was called 6.2 or something for awhile…) and then 7.0 and I may or may not have had some in-depth conversations with some people. :D

Not to doubt your friend, but I am all over the web and have zero problems with any other sites.

How many other sites do you use that rely on Java?

Quit harassing the poor guy. Read the dang update release. The JS rendering engine had some severe issues that were causing some major sites numerous headaches. This is and has been all over the place. Most crashes and hang ups were due to this.

Other "normal" bugs are bugs. Report them clearly and move on. Sheesh.
