WTT Kastle MX 88 for DPS Wailer 99, Voile Vector BC, Dynastar Cham 97 HM or similar

I have some Kastle MX88 178 with bindings that I would be interested in trading for a touring ski. These were demo skis for ~25 days and then I skied them around 6 additional days. There is a small delam behind one binding and some base damage as pictured. Open to offers that include cash one direction or the other if it makes sense. I am in Oakland and will be in Tahoe for a week or two later this month.

Some skis on the wish list that might work in the 175-185 length range:
DPS Wailer 99
Dynastar Cham HM

Voile Vector BC in 180
Praxis Yeti or BC
ON3P Vicik Tour
Down Countdown 4

Let me know what you got.

Bump. Received a few interesting offers but nothing quite right.

Would also consider selling them. Not sure on a fair price. Maybe $310 + shipping. Let me know if there is interest.

I'd love to add another pair of Kastles to my quiver. If your MX 88s were 188s, I'd offer to trade you straight-up for my Cham 97 HMs. I am pondering the 178s.

Inspector Gadget,

I think that we have been in touch via the TGR forums (if you are using the same handle over there). Even if not the same person, I would be interested in the swap. I will send you a PM and e-mail.

Unless you are well over 200 lbs. the 188 will be overkill. The MX 88 is a very stable ski and the 178 is plenty of ski for anyone up to 210-215 lbs. I'm 6' 1" and 185 and the 178 is ideal and is my everyday ski. I've also been on the 188 and while it was fun, it really just wanted to go fast!

Thankfully I'm not over 200 lbs., otherwise I'd be trying out for the Biggest Loser. :rolleyes

The OP and I already made a different trade, but I am still interested in finding a pair of MX83s or MX88s. After doing some additional homework, I would be looking for 173cm MX83s and 178cm MX88s. Do you have any thoughts on the MX83s?

Thank you, MikeC, for your input.

I've not been on the MX 83 as of yet so I can't comment on them specifically. I have owned the FX 84 and 94, the RX, and the MX 88. Still ski the 88 as my daily driver and kept that one because it is so versatile. Carves well on hard snow and ice, and blasts through crud. I only miss my RX when it's super hard and icy.

I suspect I would love the MX 83 and that may be the way I go when my 88s have lived out their days.

Bump. Kastles are now for sale. $300 + shipping.

Or some other items of interest for a trade: zipfits liners in 27/27.5

is that 1 chuck by the binding the only chip?

^Yes. The top sheets have typical scratches from normal use but no other chips.
