Lift required on right boot

I am in the market for new boots. I will be going to a boot fitter as suggested. I am curious though, I require a 3/8" lift on my right boot due to a broken leg in high school. What can be done for someone like myself? Do they add external plates?

most common solution is to add an external lift to the sole of the boot. for klamath falls you can go see mark elling at mt bachelor, leif at the fifth season in mt shasta city, or a handful of guys with the technology in tahoe.

Thanks for the reply, that is what I was thinking they might do.
