Steamboat Lodging Question

Thread Starter

Its time for my annual ski vacation lodging question. Each year in Feb/Mar a group of us takes a ski vacation. Ages from 55-70; skiing ability beginner to advanced. We want to stay in a 4 bd room condo/house. With this group, its all about the experience - dinner, wine, shopping, fun, relaxing, skiing. This year we're heading to Steamboat. I haven't been there for about 5 years.

We're looking at the Kutuk Lodge. Any reports on this place? Is it nice, truly ski-in/ski-out? Proximity to the base area? Proximity to Bus downtown? Any information would be greatly appreciated! AND, IF YOU CAN THINK OF BETTER lodging please let me know. Again, this is all about comfort, enjoying great friends, and ease to the beginner slopes! Does anyone know rental info on that major house on the hill and to the right of the Gondola?

Thanks in advance. Hope someone is getting snow. No snow in Idaho; just cold!  JDH

I have been putting trips together for the last 16 years to western ski resorts.  I have almost always rented of the VRBO website.  I have never had a problem with the many different resorts I have visited.  Attached is the link for Steamboat's rentals.  The last time I was in Steamboat, I found a great 4 bedroom house on this site.  Good luck
