suggestion for women's ski?

HI, I am an experienced and advanced Telemark skier, using G3 Vivas for the past few years and I love them!  I sprained my ankle this summer, though, and it still hurts, so I am considering an alpine or AT setup for this year.  Any suggestions on a good women's ski to invest in?  I love to ski bumps and trees, relish the powder, and need something that can also work on hard pack for when snow is scarce in these NM mountains.  Mostly in-resort skiing, but I'd also like a ski that I could take in the backcountry if I mount them with AT bindings.

Any advice for me?

Thanks in advance!

The Blizzard Black Pearl or Samba, the Volkl Aura or Kiku, and the Nordica Nemesis (or it's newest counterpart) have all gotten serious raves from the advanced and expert women on TheSkiDiva. Which one to choose out of the bunch is an intensely personal decision based on desired ski "feel"....it's best to demo if you can, but none of them will let you down.

I've been looking at the Volkl Kenja.  Curious why you suggest the other Volkls, Volklgirl, and not this one?  What is the difference between the Aura and the Kiku

Nothing wrong with the Kenja at all - I was just thinking you were looking for something wider than that. Kenja is 87 under foot, Aura is 96 and both have tip rocker. Kiku is 107 under foot and is full rocker with carbon reinforcement rather than titanal like the other 2.

I guess I tend to skip over that 88ish "low-fat" group as an off piste ski because I've found the "mid-fats" and some "fats" work just as well on the groomers but are way more versatile off trail. Your choice of waist width may need to take into account how much effort you want to put into carving on the groomer days as the true fats take some work and commitment.
