Liberty Mtn Resort, PA 30 NOV 2013

Liberty was real good today, Saturday Nov 30, 2013.  My son and I skied it from roughly 9am to 4pm.  After 46 seasons around here this was my first time skiing in the month of November!  The extended day ticket for $39 brought me out, but the crowds were pretty light, never more than about 20 people if any lines at all.  The manmade snow was really soft, fairly dry, and very skiable.  The best skiing was on three intermediate runs off the backside Eastwind Chair, Heavenly to 1) Whitney’s Way 2)Lower Ultra 3)Lower Eastwind.  Dipsy Doodle was open to return to the front, which also had the terrain park and beginner area open.

Here are some shots.

Base of Eastwind Quad Chair.  They ran the guns all day, but sort of a light setting, not too obnoxious and good for next week:

Very nice - thanks for the report, @Jamesj!

Liberty Mountain Race Team starts training at its namesake mountain in two weeks - looks like the resort it getting its ducks in a row. I'm coaching for them this year, so I'm happy to hear that they have laid down some good snow (though not on our usual training run, White Lightning - that'll happen soon, provided the cold nights continue).

I was at Okemo today. Nice snow (all manmade), cold temperatures, no crowds until after 10am, sun, and FUN!
