Eager to get your input. First day on the snow since April. This was really just a day to get back the ski legs, though we mixed it up later with some wider turn radius when it quieted down on the hill (no clips of that; sorry--prolly next time). I'd especially love to hear from some CSIA evaluators (skidude? rollo? skinerd?) but appreciate any instructor comments. Looking for some feedback that will set me up for success to move towards the CSIA level 3 standard. Hoping to get some ideas that will help me transform my skiing.
Clip 1 working on short turns, then opening it up for a bit longer radius through the death crumbs (much smaller than death cookies!):
I'm now going into year 8 of skiing :/ I spent time this summer working on turning with the lower joints on my longboard and inline skates, and did some javelin turns a few runs prior. Terrain in Ontario is super limited, so I'll need to get creative. No off-piste to speak of. No trees (though sometimes Blue has a few metres of skiable trees). No proper bumps for another month probably. Coach level 2 is on the agenda again to retry the gates portion.
