Equipment recommendations [returning after 8 year gap, Denver]

I'm new to the group and haven't been on the slopes much in the last 8 years due to a pretty major motorcycle accident.  I'm ready to get serious again and should probably chuck my straight cut skis and old boots.  I'm a pretty experienced skier having skied since I was in grade school.  I am looking for some recommendations on newer used equipment.  I would like to keep the budget under $500. for everything.  I know that sounds a little cheap, but like I said, have not been out much.  I'm a pretty aggressive skier and used to ski on straight 204s for frame of reference.  If anyone has suggestions on suitable skis, bindings, and boots for someone with my background it would be greatly appreciated.  I am fully recovered, so don't let that be a factor in recommending equipment.

Thanks in advance,

Rob

Rob: Welcome to EpicSki!  Have you clicked on Articles in the menu bar yet?  There are some that cover the basic considerations when buying skis and boots.

Always helps to know where you are most likely to ski.

Good point marznc, sorry for leaving that out.  I live just north of Denver so typically ski Vail, Copper and Steamboat.  Also, I'm 5'11" and tips on current sizing practices would be helpful also as I know sjis have gotten shorter with the new sidecuts.
