Powders of any sort cause friction.  I once put baby powder in my boots; oh boy it took forever to get it out.  The particles embedded themselves in my liner, grabbed my socks, and would not let me get my foot in at all.

 

One more time, a small travel hairdryer in your boot bag with a long cord does the trick.  Others in the lodge will be jealous.0613-travel-hair-dryers-sultra-mdn.jpg
