Atomic 9.22S?

A buddy of mine is getting into tele and is thinking of getting one of these (the blue one - he demoed one at 190 and liked it).

Is this a good tele ski? Where could he get one at a good price? If he can't find one, what are some other similar options?

It's a great tele ski, but I prefer the normal 9.22 (which I think is even a little lighter). The normal (yellow) one is a bit stiffer and a little more stable, the bue "S" version is a little easier to turn and, I suppose, better for someone just starting out. Can't really go wrong with either.

I heard that mgear.com is selling their ski inventory at low discounted prices -- don't know if they have that one though.
