Aspen - Downtown Hotels

Any suggestions on hotels/condo's in town the week before xmas ....

Just me and the kids and dont need the Little Nell or St. Regis - but upscale and right in the center would be nice .....

Searching kayak and other sites now - but maybe there are some nicer boutique hotels that are off the grid so to speak...

Thanks

Limelight fits that bill and is owned by the skico. So they may have a better package.
Tons of older lodges, some are really nice.
Run some prices and let me know what you're looking at and I'll give you my $0.02!

Thanks... Looks like a cool place - They have a double room for $455 a night....

St. Regis was $755, Gant $448, Jerome $574.... We are there 5 nights 19-24 and would like to ski all the Aspen mountains if possible

Are there other smaller properties that dont use the search engines ?

BTW - Not ready to book ---- want to see how the weather pans out between Aspen and Steamboat....   But leaning towards Aspen - Better Apres for me :-)

Check out the Hotel Lenado, Herthstone House, Boomerang Lodge. and maybe the Mollly Gibson.

I would wait until a couple of days prior to arrival and then call them directly.   If they aren't fully booked and pre Christmas never is, they may cut a deal.

The Mountain Chalet in Aspen is an older property.  But it has the best location and a huge following of return guests that love the place.

If you branch out to condo's, the options are endless.
