The Mighty C adds "backcountry" terrain

Ok, it looks more  like a lift-served in-bounds glade than "backcountry" or "sidecountry" but it looks interesting.

Apparently this terrain incorporates some of the original trails from when the Mighty C opened in 1937.  Those trails were abandoned in the late 80's as it was cost-prohibitive to replace the rope tows and t-bars with chairlifts.

I wouldn't expect the glade to be skiable that early in the season, but you never know.

We used to do the Mighty C, when we did combination ski and snowmobile trips.  Stayed right at the base and they had trails that started right out back.

But for the most part, I'm a product of the mt.

No metal edges, not sure how that would work.    I picked up some Rossi BC110's,  to make some of the hills a bit more challenging.
