"Green" Mountain Operations

Thread Starter

The Seattle PI published an online article about the greenest and least green ski areas in the US.  http://www.seattlepi.com/lists/article/The-nation-s-greenest-least-green-ski-areas-4994204.php

In their article they referenced a group called the "Ski Area Citizens Coalition" and their report on the greenishness of ski areas throughout the country. http://skiareacitizens.com/

While it's cool to be the Ambassador for the #1 green ski area (Stevens Pass), I wonder how valid this group's findings are. Does anyone know anything about them?

Its an interesting idea, The criteria seems reasonable, and reasonably applied.

The headline writer however needs to get acquainted with the map. The surveys cover AZ,CA, CO, ID, MT, NV, NM, OR, UT, WA, & WY. While that accounts for a fair percentage of large resorts it's not even half of the nations ski areas. ,
