Nordica Evo & Sport system binding

Does anyone have any information and/or opinion on this binding? Can't find anything on them.

Spotted a great deal for my girlfriend: Nordica Hell's Belles (she demoed them, loved them) with this binding. Any good? What's the DIN range, weight, etc?

Any comment would be greatly appreciated.

It is a very good system but with a few limitations. First the good, Nordica did a very good job with the design and ease of adjustment plus it one of the few systems that is a zero ramp angle so the skier is very natural on the ski. There are three (IIRC) versions, 2.5-10, 3-11 and 4-12 depending on which ski that they go with. Most of the women's skis will be the 2.5-10 and 3-11. Another plus is most of the people demoing these skis are getting to test it with this binding verses a typical demo binding so they are getting a truer feel on how the ski feels. Now the downfall of the binding and this might pertain to you. There is one size of this binding, it is designed to accommodate BSL's from a 260mm to 360mm. While this does not have an effect on most skis, once you get down to the low 150's and below...the plate gets to be (relatively) heavy and blocks out the flex of the ski. While it is not a huge detriment in performance on the shorter length skis, I would suggest buying the ski of choice flat and putting on a traditional two piece binding.

Thanks for the info. My girlfriend is looking at a 170 length, so the downside that you mentioned might not be too big a deal.

I'm the girlfriend :) so in the 170 length (BSL 295, but next year probably smaller) these binding shouldn't block the flex? I prefer buying the skis flat (demoed them with the Marker Squires), but can't find them in the Netherlands/Europe.

For a 170. Not an issue

So it wouldn't be an issue for 162 either correct?
