Change that to 100% confidence for me.  I've secured the necessary paperwork from the family and looking forward to joining you all for the weekend.   First time visit to both areas, so excited to see what they have to offer.    Also watching the forecast closely - hoping the 40-60% chance of snow during the week turns into the real thing.   Probably going to splash out and stay at the Rangeley Inn both nights.

Just an update of parenthetical info on my line.

Can commit to Saturday and Sunday.

Just got back from the Loaf. It was a gorgeous bluebird day. Bracket Basin and Burnt Mountain were closed due to conditions. But the hill was abuzz with the expectation of snow on Wednesday and Thursday. The timing could not be better. With daylight savings, you can ski all day in sunlight with the sun high over the hill. A hint of spring for certain. Snow will make the Gathering truly epic. Looking forward to making turns with y'all.

It's just too far and we can't spend the money. I REALLY want to experience Saddleback, not to mention ski with you guys - but our financial problems right now are too much.  It's like an injury, but at least we can still ski locally for free.  Gas, lodging lift tickets add up.  Never in my life have I not done something I want to do so much over just a couple of hundred dollars.

But we can't come.

Have fun!

We will dedicate a run in your honor, my friend.

Bummer. Hope you guys get some great snow in the Berkshires to enjoy. We'll try to get some photos out.

Probably out for Sunday. Might make it Saturday. Are you going to be at the Loaf? Planning on skiing the River on Friday.

Thanks, this really sucks, but priorities are priorities - it's not like I busted my leg and am out for a season, right?  Just a bummer.  Really wanted to meet some of you and ski with some old buddies.

My philosophy is there are two things that bum people out.

1.  Bad things happening.

2.  Good things that they want not happening.

The first is a lot worse than the second!

Probably out. Too much going on.  If the SO decides she doesn't want to ski on Sunday (the River) I might make a dash to the Loaf. If not, I'll catch up with you at some point. Need to ski in VT sometime in April. Have the Fox 44 card. Tickets to Mad River, Smuggs, Jay and Burke.

Sorry about the radio-silence. I have been waiting to see how this storm played out for a festival I am doing this weekend with my students.  Turns out, it's going to eat up Friday and Saturday.

As of right now, the only day I might be able to fit is Sunday at the Loaf. I'll update if it is looking more like a reality. I'd love to get out there and ski with you guys/ meet some new faces.

Hot tub party on Sunday at 4pm at Sugarloaf Mtn Hotel for anyone who can linger for a while on Sunday afternoon.  Can use our room at slopeside hotel to change clothes before/after tubby.  Also, we'll have food/beverages.
