Thread Starter

I'm 6 ft 250 , a single diamond advanced skier. I ski on the east coast (mostly ice and pack pow and allot of crud) i have 2 sets of blizz bonafides in my house right now a 180 and a 187. which size should i keep, this will be my first rocker ski. I'm completely lost I'm worried that if i keep the 187s i wont be able to turn them

Search for the Bonafide sizing threads.......a quick glance was 187 for someone of your size.

forcefed6 - I'm 5'10" & 180# and have demoed the Bonafides a couple of times.  For me, I'd want the 180cm, and can't imagine going shorter.  Consequently, the 187cm might be the choice for you.

By the way, nice skis.

Your weight says 187, your location says 180.  Its probably a choice between stability and quickness.  I tried both (6', 190lb) and ended up with the 187, but I ski on a big Western mountain.  That ski has rocker and lot so metal so you WILL be able to turn the 187, and 180 WON'T feel like a noodle.   The question is whether the 180 would be more fun.   The best would be to demo both lengths and pick the one you like.  I am always surprised at how far my preconceptions about ski length fall from the reality.

You may also look at the Brahma- I have not been on them myself, but it's supposed to be the Bonafide for the East Coast, same construction, but 88mm instead of 98mm.  From my recollection of skiing in New England, I'd rather be there on an 88mm ski than on a 98 mm.
