Did anyone see the recent article on backcountry trips in Ski Magazine? Has anyone done any of them?

As I am interested in learning about backcountry skiing, I read that article right after receiving the magazine. Weak! So let me ask the group: who can suggest a good place to learn something about backcountry skiing? I noticed over the weekend that Jackson Hole offers a 4 day backcountry camp. Anyone tried that or know anything about it?

Thanks for the great info. I have already found Couloir and do like it. Will check out the Alpine Skills site and the books you have mentioned.

If you live in Colorado, I would join the Colorado Mountain Club, they have cheap semminars and schools on everything you would need to become an expert back country skier.
