Michigan's ski industry is expecting a good year because of the early cold weather:

Nordic Mountain in central Wisconsin is now open 7 days a week, regular hours. Great snow and all runs but three are open now with all expected to be open by the weekend, weather permitting.

Early season skiing means NO lines and few people on the hill.

It was a lot of fun this weekend.

Bittersweet in SW Michigan was open this past week. About a foot and a half base. Not bad for November!

Perfect North in Indiana opened Friday. About 70%. Not bad for southern Indiana.

All hills opened in South Central WI Friday (limited), was nice to get out.

They've received $59 more of mine than they did last year.

I was at Mt. Holly today.  The snow was real nice, the meager crowd was dispersed enough that I was able to make a dozen laps or more skiing mainly over my own tracks in the cord.  Fun!
