Toe box stretching in Dalbello Lupo

Thread Starter

Hi there,

I decided to get a a pair of Dalbello Lupo SP ID ski boots. My Mondo size is 26,5 (according to the Lange measuring device) but I chose the 25,5 size for a better fit and performance. I would like to know what kind of equipment I will need in order to stretch safely and without damaging the ski boot shell and how many milimeters I will have to punch on average in order to make the boot skiable. In addition I have been told that many companies use boiling water in order to heat the shell. Is that true?

watch this video  http://starthaus.com/wordpress/2013/11/08/bootfitters-notes-stretching-a-ski-boot/

water boils at 212 f. thick polyurethane, like a toe box needs to get close to 300 f. to make a permanent stretch.
