Nordica Doberman SLR EVO...Thoughts

Thread Starter

I'm looking to add a non-FIS SL ski to the quiver. I have not owned a SL race ski since they became short. The last one I owned was a Rossi 7s.

About me

I'm a strong advance/expert skier. Just looking for another ski to add for local skiing. I teach part time at Bear Mountain in Socal. Passed the PSIA level 2 ski in Mammoth with 1/2 day practice and will take the level 2 teach this season. Pretty surprised I passed since my wedge christies were terrible, but had a good free ski/bump/short radius turn day.

Where I Ski

Locally in Big Bear where I would be using this ski most of the time. Maybe 20 days

Mammoth 15-20 days a year

A trip to Utah or Whistler once a year (Thinking about doing the interconnect this year).

What I have now

Nordica Helldorado - 193 (powder days)

Nordica Fire Arrow 84 EDT - 184 (sometimes local/sometimes Mammoth)

Nordica Fire Arrow 80 - 180 (current ski for Big Bear)

Rossignol Experience 98 - 188 (Everyday Mammoth Ski)

Volkl Mantra - 191 collecting dust and soon to be on classifieds

Looking for input on the Nordica ski or any other recommended ski in its class.

Thanks in advance.

Not a lot of info on the Nordica Dobermann's in North America.

Have you seen the ski canada write up?

Not much else I can add except the 2014's sure look rad (love the tips).
