I didn't pay $700. Like I originally wrote, I paid over $900. Giving me a $200 discount on ANOTHER set of $900 tires (hence the $700) is an awful response when I'd not even be shopping for tires if theirs hadn't demonstrated a problem. And giving me partial credit for two tires when the entire set needs to be replaced isn't the kind of customer service I'd have expected from a premium brand.
Finally, yes, my situation is unusual. But it certainly gives one the impression that Nokian isn't willing to stand behind their product.
So, best of luck with buying more Nokians. Because if something goes wrong, I wouldn't expect much from them if I were you.
